To contribute to a strong Vermont community by helping small businesses prosper through the provision of flexible financing and ongoing technical assistance.

Micro and Small Businesses Across the State of Vermont!


Community Capital offers financing and other assistance to businesses in Vermont that do not yet meet all the requirements for traditional bank financing.

Financing to Start or Grow Your Business: We provide flexible and affordable financing for eligible and qualified new & growing businesses.

A Unique Post-Loan Support Program: Successful applicants receive up to 10 hours of free, one-on-one assistance from our specialized consultants in the areas of marketing, financial management, human resources, etc.

To apply, you must meet these following basic requirements:
    Have a plan for a start-up or business expansion

    Have difficulty meeting bank credit, equity, collateral, or other requirements.

    Meet our guidelines for low-to-moderate income ownership or job creation and retention

Community Capital is a community-based 501c3 nonprofit serving the entire state of Vermont.


Vermont Job Start Loan Program:  Administration of Job Start is being transferred from the Vermont Economic Development Authority (VEDA) to Community Capital of Vermont in the near future.  Community Capital is happy to accept any inquiries and applicants who are interested in a Job Start loan.
