Community Capital is excited to introduce you to Jason Bathgate, owner of Vermont Foods Delivery Service. I deliver Vermont food products throughout the state; bakeries, dairy, grocery items and prepared foods, says Jason. We are an environmentally friendly distributor alternative, for VT food producers. With financial assistance from Community Capital and Vermont Community Loan Fund, Jason recently purchased two delivery trucks and is on his way towards fulfilling his larger vision: opening a multi-modal food center in centrally located Duxbury, just across the town line from Waterbury.

His passion behind Vermont Foods is simple: to help consolidate the transportation needs for many Vermont food businesses, at the same time helping the environment by reducing vehicles on the road, reducing and reusing packaging, and creating good livable wage jobs. Jason's business targets start-up and existing Vermont specialty food producers alike. Aside from offering a competitive delivery service, Jason's background in restaurant operations, specialty food production and the Vermont food culture gleaned from his top-of-the-class NECI education, all contribute value that his customers enjoy. Despite his big plans, Jason is currently focused on his delivery company.
