Resolution Collaborative, LLC owner Ed Williams has been serving the construction industry and the legal community for over 15 years with his consulting expertise.  He has worked in project development, prepared building assessments and helped clients embroiled in disputes or litigation over existing projects.

Ed’s father was a business owner, and from a young age Ed kneew it was something he wanted to do as well.  Calling himself a “simple farm boy who lies to draw,” Ed graduated from Vermont Technical College and from the Boston Architectural Center with degrees in architecture.

After time in the workforce, Ed gained a reputation as “The Fixer.”  He was always his employers’ “go to” when problems cropped up on jobs.  “This is what I was good at,” he said.  “I enjoy going to projects that are a mess and helping people fix them.”

Ed had been living in California, and in 2005, he moved back to Vermont.  He maintained his business contacts on the west coast, and when a project he had been working on fell through, he realized – with a mortgage and a family to support – he needed to set himself up as a business to have future growth.

Ed met with Community Capital to secure funding for his project and hit the road running.  “Community Capital has given me the chance to chase my dream,” he said.  “Because of them I have the opportunity to really grow my business.  I didn’t plan on hiring anyone when I started, but I think by next year I’m going to have to.”
