Founded in 1995, the mission of Community Capital of Vermont is to be an effective, sustainable source of capital and business development services that supports the successful start-up and growth of Vermont-based micro and small businesses owned by individuals who lack sufficient access to conventional sources of financing.
Financing to Start or Expand Your Business: Community Capital of Vermont believes in the power of small businesses; in fact, the majority of job creation in Vermont comes from micro and small businesses. Community Capital provides financing to self-employed individuals of low to moderate income, who have home-based businesses with zero to ten employees. Loans of $1,000 - $50,000 are available to micro and small business entrepreneurs throughout the state of Vermont. Management Assistance Program (MAP): Thanks to a USDA Rural Business Enterprise Grant, Community Capital is accepting applications for grants up to $2,500 for businesses, and up to $5,000 for groups of businesses to purchase consulting services to meet their business goals.
